Testimonials

We have been involved with Middle East Electricity over the last few years, and have consistently found it to be an excellent opportunity to both reach new customers and to network with existing business contacts. Above all, we have been pleasantly surprised by the international mix of visitors to our stand, which are primarily from the Gulf region, but also comprise those from Africa and further abroad. From a business perspective, we have had the opportunity to meet with a number of prospective new customers. Though it remains to be seen whether all these meetings turn into real business, it provides a very positive indication and we are very happy to be a part of the event.

Robert Woodley, Marketing Communications Manager, EAME-CIS Electric Power Division, Caterpillar SARL

We have now been exhibiting at Middle East Electricity for the last five years consecutively, even continuing our involvement throughout the downturn. The huge advantage in being part of this show is that it attracts customers from across Europe, Africa and the GCC.  Somewhat surprisingly, this year we have also noticed considerable interest from Latin America, which provides yet another opportunity for us to maximise our exposure. “A lot of our customer base is here, with the show giving us a chance to touch base with them and to discuss their plans for the next 12 months and beyond. “I would say that Middle East Electricity is the best show of its kind, anywhere in the world. While there are shows of a similar scale in the US, this one is much more global than others, attracting a broad spectrum of exhibitor and customer traffic. “Middle East Electricity has raised our profile across the region and enabled us to grow. The investment we have made in being part of this show is fully justified in the return it has given us. Visitor traffic is of good quality, not diluted by students or other non-trade customers as with some other shows, providing good, qualified business leads.

James Maynard, Marketing Manager, Deep Sea Electronics

With a business presence in the Middle East spanning more than 25 years, we have been involved with Middle East Electricity for the last three years. I feel that the visitors of the show are of a very professional quality, generating good business leads for us. In particular, we have seen ongoing strong demand for mobile power and gas products from companies across the GCC region. Additionally, the quality of our fellow exhibitors presenting at the show is continually improving, demonstrating the increasingly global recognition of just how important this region is for businesses involved in power, energy and related industries.

Oliver Cierpka, General Manager, MTU Onsite Energy Middle East

This is our 3rd time attending Middle East Electricity as an exhibitor. I have found the 2011 edition excellent with a large volume of visitors. There are some deals pending and have established new contacts so my expectations have been met and will definitely be back next year.

Mohamed Khbaiz, Marketing and Sales, Jubaili Bros

We have now exhibited 4 times at Middle East Electricity and each year our stand has grown from 72, 90, 120 and this year 180 square meters. We have had many visitors and enquiries and will see the results about one month after the exhibition. Most of the visitors are from the GCC with the majority being from Iran and Saudi Arabia. Being an exhibitor at Middle East Electricity for us is essential and is a great opportunity to showcase our products.

Moayyad Abu Falah, Regional Sales Manager, Sterling and Wilson Powergen LLC

We have been exhibiting at Middle East Electricity for the last 15 to 20 years and always part of the UK Pavilion. The 2011 show has been very successful with over 100 new contacts made through the seminars, visitors and meeting other exhibitors. Most of the visitors to our stand have been from the UAE and China and the rest from all over the GCC. We will definitely be back in 2012.

Craig Diack-Evans, Senior International Business Development Manager, Intertek

Middle Eat Electricity is the biggest exhibition of its kind outside of the US and we have been exhibiting for 5 years. This is a great opportunity to showcase our products and latest technology. We have met with our existing clients and exhibitors and the number of visitors on day 3 was just phenomenal.

Alan Preece, Manager –Middle East Office, EA Technology ISI Limited.

We had a very successful event and received a positive response from across the region and neighbouring sub-continent.  Eaton is committed to the region and has been expanding its presence throughout Middle East.  In 2011, we are proud to celebrate our 100th year, which further emphasizes our strong knowledge in the industries we serve.  We wanted to convey to the electrical industry that Eaton is a One Stop solution for all their electrical needs and we are consolidating all our legacy brands like MEM, Cutler-Hammer, Moeller, Holec, F&G, Bill under one brand - Eaton.  We were able to convey this message and present our strong presence in the region by participating in the Middle East Electricity this year.  We were proud to showcase a strong basket of electrical products and solutions.

Prakash Megchiani, Regional Marketing Director - Middle East, Eaton Corporation

For the past seven years Perkins has exhibited at Middle East Electricity (MEE). The electric power sector provides a significant contribution to Perkins’ overall business, so the show is a fantastic way for the company to exhibit its engine range and product support network to a key global audience. As one of the largest electric power shows in the world, MEE is the place to be, and this year’s show again attracted a wide variety of exhibitors displaying their Perkins powered products as well as thousands of visitors from across the Middle East.

Howard Beeken, Director for EAME / CIS distribution, Perkins

This is the most important exhibition for us, we have 30 companies participating this year and this is a good show which allows us to make news contacts and we are very proud to come here. This event is a good opportunity for us to present our companies, our technology and our know-how. We have been participating at Middle East Electricity for the last 12 years and we will continue to attend year after year.

Sofiane Ouffa, Energy Project Manager, UBIFRANCE

We have been present at Middle East Electricity for many years now and we continue to support this event. Out of all the events that we participate in we have the largest stand at Middle East Electricity. The show provides us with an opportunity to actively network with our clients and consultants and this year’s show has been very busy for us. For this year it seems as though almost all of the serious industry players have a presence at the show and the show has gone from strength to strength over the last few years and we continue to wish Middle East Electricity a very bright future.

Ashish Chaturvedy, Marketing Manager, Ducab

We have been present in the Middle East region for around 50 years and this region is a very important growth market for us. With all the investment that is happening in the region at the moment we feel that in the next 3-5 years, this market will be doing very well. We think that participating at Middle East Electricity is very important as it is the biggest electrical event in the region and most of our peers are also here. We feel that this event provides us with a good platform to meet all our customers and if we have any new products, we would usually showcase them at this event.

Anand K. Datta, Managing Director, Cooper Middle East

We see a lot of growth in this region and in particular phenomenal growth in the consumption of electricity and there are a lot of interesting projects happening concerning the generation of electricity which could include wind and solar energy.

Michael Bjørn, Vice President, Borouge

For Borouge, Middle East Electricity is a very strategic event and we participate in this event every year and we look forward to this event. It is important for us to be close to our customers and this event allows us to do that. It also allows us to update ourselves with developments within the industry.

Hazeem S. Al Suwaidi, General Sales Manager, Borouge

The MENA region is a prime market for diesel engines and that is why we are participating at Middle East Electricity in order to meet customers and potential distributors for our products. This is the first year we have participated at Middle East Electricity and as we are introducing a new brand – Maxxforce, we thought it was important to come to a major show in a market that we want to serve so this event is vitally important as we launch our new brand. We have met excellent potential customers and distributors, there is good visitor traffic and we are very pleased with our position on the floor.

David T. Lapalomento, Vice President and General Manager, Navistar

We have seen this market grow 25% year on year for the past 4-5 years and as such we expect good growth from this area. Every year we participate at Middle East Electricity and we find this exhibition very useful from our customers’ point of view and a business point of view and a lot of our customers come to see us and the products that we are developing. This year’s event has been very good for us as we have been able to showcase our products to a lot of new customers.

S. K. Garg, Executive Director – Head Switchgear Business, C&S Electric

We predict steady growth in this region for the next 5 years. We felt that as Legrand is a global player we should definitely have a presence at Middle East Electricity this year. The show has been great and the level of interest has been there.

Ian Larner, Sales Manager – Gulf Countries, Legrand

We have chosen this event to launch our water product business, to introduce water to the market, the whole solution of water, no one else has done anything like it and we chose to do it here at Middle East Electricity. This event is the place to be and this is where the developments are taking place. Middle East Electricity this year has been very, very good, there is a lot of positive interest in our new products with people willing to buy our products which is what you really want.

Bob Bell, Director, Lister Petter

We are optimistic about the market for the next 3-5 years. Middle East Electricity is not just the trade fair for this area but attracts a lot of visitors from all over the world and it is a good place to do business. Being at Middle East Electricity means that we can supply our products to all the countries in the region so it is very important to be here and all of our exhibitors are happy to be here and they do good business here. They are very happy with the number of visitors and the quality of visitors. The show has been very good and most of our exhibitors will be happy to come back as they do participate repeatedly at Middle East Electricity.

Bernhard Diegner, Head of Department, ZVEI: German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association

The market in this region is still growing and will continue to grow. For us it is very important to participate at Middle East Electricity to let our brand be known in this market, we feel that it is the most important exhibition in the sector and the quality of visitors is very good this year.
